Meet The Doctors

Dr. Matthew R Kanter

DDS, FAGD

My name is Dr. Matthew Kanter and I am honored to carry on Dr. Boman’s phenomenal legacy taking care of his patients here in Murrieta, California. I have practiced General Dentistry in the Inland Valley since 2018 and absolutely thrilled to be serving your dental needs for many years to come.

I graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2012 and immediately shipped out to Southern California with the US Navy. I am honored for the opportunity to have treated our Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and Soldiers for six years. These men and women deserve the highest quality dental care possible, and I was able to provide it to them using cutting edge technology and techniques. The military culture is dedicated to excellence and encourages its service members to continually raise the bar high for themselves. It is this dedication I am looking forward to bringing each and every one of my patients.

Dr. Boman and I share these commitments to development and education, which ultimately lead us to providing you with the best dental experience possible. Following dental school, I completed a one-year advanced training program in general dentistry. During this immersion, I trained under the most experienced clinicians the Navy had to offer in each board certified dental specialty. I am confident in treating your dental needs with crown-and-bridge, cosmetic fillings and veneers, botox and other pain management therapies, simple and complex extractions with bone grafting, orthodontic tooth movement with clear aligners, dental implants, partial and complete dentures to include all-on-x with implants, root canals, and my personal favorite, same day digitally designed crowns! No more gooey mess from impressions, dealing with loose temporary crowns, or having to come back for the final crown! The digital age in dentistry brings with it efficiency and convenience for both patients and dentists, with the essential benefits of unmatched precision and accuracy.  I also received my Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), recognizing completion of over 500 hours of courses designed to enhance the dental skills I can provide to you. I am currently working toward my Masters from the same organization.

I grew up in Southern Indiana, the oldest of four kids, and with parents who still live in the same home today as they did when they married. My father is a small business owner who taught me the value of building relationships, and the importance of going the extra mile for his employees and customers. My mother, a nurse, gave me the gift of a healing touch, patient disposition, and desire to help others. Looking back, choosing dentistry as a career was the perfect fit for me. I love getting to know my patients, desire to both provide them with high quality dental care and educate as well, and most importantly, ensure that each visit ends with at least one laugh or smile!

I spend my free time enthusiastically enjoying the outdoors however I can, from hitting the links, to trail hiking summiting peaks, sailing, scuba diving, and simply enjoying this wonderful corner of the country.

I am so fortunate to begin the highlight of my dental career getting to know and taking care of each and every one of you. I look forward to our future together as Dr. Boman graciously and trustingly passes on the torch to me to take care of his family.

Dr. Nischit Y. Shah, DDS, MSD

Dr. Shah has been a periodontist since 2018 and prides himself on being gentle and caring about his patients' comfort. He is detailed and thorough in his explanations of diagnosis and treatment, and loves to provide helpful and practical suggestions for ongoing oral hygiene.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Periodontist?

Gum health is often overlooked by patients and dentists alike, and that’s a main reason Dr. Shah wanted to become a periodontist.  Because many patients are better about caring for their teeth than caring for their gums, the perio niche is a unique place to educate patients on the oral microbiome and its relationship to one’s overall health. As a periodontist at Peak Vision Dental, his specialties are gum surgery, soft tissue grafts, bone grafts, tooth extractions, and dental implants.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Shah is all about spending time with his family and friends (many of whom are also in dental and other medical fields) and exercising and fitness.  If he didn’t become a periodontist, he would have been an environmental scientist, biologist, or clinical researcher - all areas he enjoys learning about in his spare time.

Dr. Timothy Boman

To all my wonderful patients whom I’ve been treating in this valley for over the last 36 years, it’s with sadness that I report this news. On July 29th I suffered a serious stroke which took away my fine motor skills.  At this time, I can no longer perform dental treatment. On a positive note, I’m recovering very well.  It is now time I pass along my dental practice to the next generation.  I believe we are all very fortunate that we found a wonderful and very talented dentist to continue take care of you, myself, and employees.  I have every confidence in Dr. Matthew Kanter and hopeful that you will too once you get to know him.  I will be available to the practice as a consultant for as long as I’m needed.   I want you to know it’s been a pleasure and an honor taking care of all my patients and staff over the last 36 years.  I appreciate the outpouring love and support I’ve received by so many of you over the last few weeks.  Dr. Kanter, Danielle, and Krystal look forward to seeing you soon!  I wish you all the best into the future.

Thank you,

Timothy J. Boman DDS
